I had a migraine one day and her friends mother was kind enough to take her for a few hours to have a playdate. She told the mother, “My mommy has a tummy ache, in her head” Definitely going to revise a line in my book to state this. This is how she understands it, other kids may understand it better too. Even though it’s WAY more than a tummy ache!
